Advice for participants
- The school starts on Monday 4th July and ends on Saturday 23rd July.
You are expected to be attending all days of the school (except those
for which you have obtained explicit leave of absence from the conveners),
so plan your travel accordingly. Accommodation is booked for all participants
from 3rd night to 23rd night (both inclusive). If your travel itinerary
requires you to stay an extra day or two on either side, accommodation
can be suitably extended, but please do write
(to ais dot imsc at gmail dot com) if you are seeking extension.
- Ph.D students of CMI and students of IMSc are expected to have
their own accommodation. They will not be provided accommodation
as part of the school. All other participants
will be provided shared housing---two per room---in
the CMI student hostel.
- We expect to have some money for one or two books on Lie algebras
to be distributed to participants, but Humphreys's text will not be
among these. You are expected to have your own personal copy of it
(now available in an Indian edition, a link to details about which you will
find elsewhere on the school web page),
study as much of it as possible before you come, and carry it
to the school.
- Information about the school, academic and logistic, will be
uploaded on the webpage of the school as and when available. It would
be a good idea to look up the web page of the school once every few days:
remember to reload the page, since your browser may have cached it.
