Class timings: Tue, Thu, 9:10 - 10:25 am, Lecture Hall 6.

Text book: "Algebra" by Michael Artin; Prentice Hall of India, Second Edition, 2011; first five chapters.

Grading: The grade for the class will be decided on the basis of a final exam, one midterm exam and regular assigmnets/quiz (about 40%, 30% and 30% respectively).

Problems sets will be posted below. I will give periodic quizzes in class based on the problem sets and exercises I give in class. There will be no make-ups for the in-class quizzes.
